A big thank you to all who attended, I am a bit late in making this as I had people over at mine this weekend, I hope all made it back home quickly and safely after and by now has had plenty of time to compile lengthy yet concise notes for feed back :p

At 22 players and the best weather we've had so far I'm going to say it was a good day had by all, and assume no one guessed I was dead on my feat the whole time.

Apart from telling everyone what we got up to I'd also like people to send a nudge my way if they would like to be involved on the organising front so we can look at having monthly games on the last Saturday of each month starting from April.

*And a belated thank you to Sparky and JJA (?that the right person/username right?) for the barriers and team bands had use of for the day, both something I need to get on for future games to raise things up.

It was my first war and I had a great time, weather was pleasant, all the games were fun.

Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch were a great start and warm up, getting to see what other people were capable of with their blasters. The base defence using the barriers that Sparky brought was great, and my favourite game mode would probably be the payload one. Zombies was good, very tiring and I think a lot more intense once we reduced the play area.

Really glad I got my tac gear in time, should have spent the evening beforehand adjusting it so that it fit my belt better, but having the extra mags to hand was great and especially having the dump pouch was super helpful for sweeps and jolt ammo.

Was also the first time I got to use my Stryfe properly since modding it, pretty pleased with the outcome. Mostly because I was half expecting the internals to break like last time I tested it. But it worked fine, accuracy was hit and miss but I think that's expected with the rando darts, sometimes I'd get several tags in a row and other times couldn't hit anything.

Definitely have to practice mag swapping as I made a mess of it in the heat of the moment a few times, especially when I thought I could dual wield Hammershot and Stryfe and somehow reload both at the same time. The China 18s I had didn't fare too well, I tried to be cautious not to load them to max but 2 of the 4 had spring issues, 1 was fixable at the least - but you get what you pay for in that regard.

Overall a super fun day, my legs are stiff from the running and dart sweeping but it was worth it. Would definitely attend again should I be able to make the journey again.

Another great game and good to see new and returning players, also thankful the weather held up as wet darts rather killed flywheel performance last time.

This was the first game where I managed to play against other modded flywheelers and I'm glad my cobbled together cheap styfe build managed to hold on par against them (though I should probably look at getting some quieter motors and fix the occasionally sticky rev trigger).

Same couldn't be said for the x shot crossbow which I ran for the first time I think that's a bit of a no go for running anything other than x shot darts (and even then chewed through a number).

Having a number of delays getting to London I missed a lot of the early games but did manage to catch a round of TDM (where our team dominated), two rounds of capture the bag (where we didn't do so well) and some zombies (mixed results). Glad to see some make shift cover as the park kinda lacks any defensive areas so those added a lot to the games and allowed for some protect when I needed to reload every 5 seconds.

A big thank you to Davidov for hosting the event, I'd certainly be up for helping to get monthly games running (even if there is a possibility I won't be able to attend all) as Nerf groups in the south need a bit of love as it stands.

First off I'd like to say a big thanks to Davidov for making the effort to organise the event, it was great seeing all the new faces and a few who attended the September war making another appearance. We really lucked out with the weather, it stayed dry but was slightly overcast which meant it was cool enough to comfortably run round acting like a kid for a few hours.

Despite a few issues with blasters (modulus died mid event and rampage was constantly jamming) was pleased with how rest of loadout worked. Was sporting new BSUK battle belt and a condor H harness with 2 triples and a large dump pouch, worked great (as expected from BSUK) and was very comfortable to run around in and well worth the investment.

Had the opportunity to try out my Mk2 Atch 8 shot cylinders and was very impressed with them, flawless rotation throughout the day and dart fit is perfect (tight but not too tight that it's a struggle to load) I'd definitely recommend them to anyone looking to increase the capacity of their hammershot/sweet revenge/five by five.

It was great to see the variety of blasters on show and the standard was definitely increased compared to the last event (need to up my game and make something a bit special after mod swap)

There was a good selection of games both team based and free for all which everyone seemed to be enjoying, my favourites being the free for all death matches. Was also good to see local kids who were at the park getting involved as well.

Quick thanks to Joel for providing coloured bandanas which made team identification so much easier (big improvement on last time)

Have a few things to take away and work on ready for next time not least fixing blasters and making sure I have a reliable backup with me.

Looking forward to the next event and will speak to Davidov above assisting with future events.

Yet again Thank You Davidov very much for running these. Had a great if knackering day and I also would be willing to run some games to help make this a more regular event.

on that note, have a link.

Britnerf is still my main port of call for all that is Nerf, so no one needs to rush over, but people who want to get involved with running stuff may find it useful to join up there.

Quick tip - we started using Groups on facebook for Grim up Nerf but found creating a 'Page' easier and more useful. You can still create events from it and it provides a lot of useful stats about how well content does, etc if that's your bag.

The group is probably going to end up being for the organiser side of things in the long run, once there is a team, so the group can do it's thing while we gather the troops even if it only sticks around for a month or two. I've a few pages for other things so am used to checking out stats so it's certainly something to think about replacing it with as things settle.
