Good night for us again, thanks to Rab and Mel for reffing duty as always. This was a big night for us as it marked a year since our first event at this venue and also this one had sold out well in advance so it's good to know we now have a good core of players wanting to come along, it's built up slowly but been worth all the work.

Not a lot of adults playing but then not so many younger ones either so a sold age group of 10 to 14 year olds I would have said so splitting the teams was easy.

Did our usual starter of lockdown, no winners but a few close calls and for the second game we tried Flux for its FDT debut instead of Domination and it worked a treat.

I felt flux involved more of the team as they had to split there numbers up to try and win the five discs in play so it gave more of them chance to be involved compared to the single objective of Domination, Mel remarked that at one point she looked about and every single player in the park was involved in a fire fight for a disc which was great to see. I think this will be a regular in our mix from now on as it all players seemed to buy into it and enjoy it.

Two rounds of HvZ and then a finish with a big FFA, not enough adults for our usual Code Red, kids Vs Adults game this week.

Looking forward to more events to come hopefully I will find the time to get up to a regular monthly event going forward.

I'm here to fling foam and chew gum and I'm all out of gum.

Flux is an excellent game to play, pretty much anywhere. Helped justajolt with a party yesterday and did a three point version in a village hall and it still worked there! One of my favourite games at the moment.

Well done Al, I feel flux works much better in closed spaces than Domination. With a minimum 5 points up for grabs (always run odd numbers) it forces different choices on players.
Great to see another possible monthly event, shout if you need anything.

Boff whats the damage? I have spent over 3 times my Nerf budget this month already. Part of me is trying to be a responsible parent/husband/house owner. The other half is just says 'Ahhhh, Screw it!'.

It was another awesome event last night well done to Al and Mel, I'm only really there to do the shouty bits.

Lockdown was tops as always, non bibs were pretty content to hold their base which meant for a stalemate in the first game, second one was much more open.

Flux, seemed to work a treat. I always like asking the players as sometimes a game that looks good to watch isn't as good to play but this one had great feedback and I think could handle even more flux points.

Some classics in action last night too, vulcans and stampedes.😊
Most of the adults and modders missed out this week due to the early sell out but a great bunch of kids some of which are becoming really good players.
Also a good mix of lads and lassies which kept my girls happy.

Alteady looking forward to the next one.
