Post Nerf Accustrike Flywheel Test  Reply with quote
So after receiving a lovely Nerf Accustrike Falconfire for Christmas, I was curious to see how the darts would perform in a highpower flywheel blaster. So I loaded up a six mag with the darts and fired up my Stryfe Primary. Stryfe is an 2X XP180, 14awg wire, 16A microswitch, Red Artifact un-canted flywheel cage (serrated flywheels), running from a Zippy 2200mah 40c 2S LiPo for testing. All external pieces available from Blastersmiths.

With the testing I noticed a significant increase in consistency, I was very surprised. Each dart followed the front post of my Stryfe all the way to the shed. They do have a decreased velocity as they do not hit the shed as fresh elites do. With a slight angle they are like lasers, would highly recommend these for a super stock dart. Please let me know if any links do not work!

Yeah, I did a similar test a few weeks back but with a less powerful Stryfe and I was amazed with the results, they flew so straight compared with the elite and koosh I compared them with. A lot of them dropped considerably shorter distance wise but for straight up consistent accuracy they were awesome.

They are simply a 1.1-1.2g dart with good weight distribution, there is no magic at work here. You would get almost the same result with FVJ, although the softer tips on the Accuhype darts are probably a bonus for flywheels.

Not that I'll be buying loads of them or anything but it was just good to see a dart that can fly like that but not sting like a Bi@#h or put a hole in your wall Very Happy

We needed a slightly heavier flat tip soft compound dart. I intend to do some chrono testing on these and the "waffle" type darts at some point.
