Post Rival barrels  Reply with quote
Privet comrades, I'm after material for making custom rival blasters (spring powered) as I have a need to make many of them for the crew of a game I'm helping organise, is there anyone able to share their knowledge and or sources?

*edit - barrel is the major thing but if you have good resources for plunger tubes, springs, anything that you know works well with rival rounds in the normal FPS range would be good, I only need single round front loaded set up so nice and efficient and nothing fancy.

I posted a solution in this thread by Mr Crane he reports it working very well.
I would get to B&M bargains and scoop up a few XBZ's instead, that way you can have air powered rival, overcoming the biggest issues of a rival springer, namely the larger volume and higher spring rate.

Thank you, has the bore been tested for effective fit for springer use? I need to go the springer route because of the end product we're after but if these will work then they look like just what we need.

That barrel fit is low windage, NOT compressed fit. HIR DOES NOT work like a dart in the barrel, you want a fit where the ball doesn't drop out but ISN'T over compressed. Using a tight fit with HIR doesn't make power at all.

Will soon find out, as I've ordered one and will be making use of the remains of my duelstrike to test. Thanks for the info.
