Rapid strike or Hyperfire?

for a final load out question before i have a complete loadout, i have been thinking about 2 primarys, the hyperfire and the rapid strike with a extended mag release. The choice seems easy but at GuN 8 i used Sams hyperfire only to discover that the ranges are awful if firing more than 3-4 darts and the single firing is hard. But the real thing that killed it for me is the thumbhole + mag release. It was and by the end of the simple games I ended up switching to Dual hammer shots. The rate of the fire is really worth it on the hyperfire though as it is a much better blaster with the rate of fire with it pumping out 5 darts a second over 3. The Rapidstrike however is more comfortable has better ranges and comes with a clear 18 stick mag  Surprised

So, Should I get the hyperfire or rapid strike with a extended mag release? This is not taking any modding into mind apart from rapid strike extended mag release and lock removal.

Rapidstrike - you can mod it into a real flamethrower
Boff

If it's a choice between those two then the RS is the better of the two. The Hyperfire is an ergonomic car crash and a real all round disappointment. The RS is easier to reload and has a great deal more mod potential.
Northwind

I love the Hyperfire but the Rapidstrike is the more developed and natural performance option, it definitely makes more sense here.
Rab

Just two ghrow things into the mix, what about a buzz bee brute? Bit more oomph than the rapid strike ?
NorthernWarrior

dps? really like the look of it.
Davera

Rapidstrike - cheaper initially, proven to mod well, far more comfortable, reliable. ....and better looking.

As a primary-rapidstrike.
However, I believe a hyper pistol would be better than a rapid pistol.
Broz

Lord knows how that conveyor belt is going to stand the test of time and modding, not a part we are likely to see coming out with a replacement from the likes of Worker.
Dustybin

Rapidstrike. Better in every way.

The brute needs to be modded to be good, the stock battery life is terrible, it won't last a full war.

Where will you get the extended mag release? The hobbymods order is done now.

I may actually have ordered an extra one of these for myself....
Waltzz

I do like the hyperfire but rapidstrike hands down. Even in pistol form it wins. Just comfortable and lots of mod potential and lots of development behind it now.
Justajolt

Rapidstrike, hands down. Reasons already stated above.

The Hyperfire's fun if you're loaded and want a small increase in stock performance over the Rapidstrike, but the Rapidstrike's tried and tested in terms of reliability.

So Rapidstrike it is. Smile

Rapidstrike and tell Blastersmiths to make their release lever available  for the RS.

Hype Fire is crap.

I'm working on it! I literally released the Stryfe version yesterday. Razz

The Rapidstrike for all the reasons listed above, but also for the fact that it's going to get harder to find now that Hasbro has replaced it with the Hyperfire.
OldNoob

Hasbro hadn't replaced it, it won't get harder to find. We have still been able to buy boxed new stampedes for 40 so I very much doubt the RS is going to dissapear. There has always been room for two or more full auto blasters in the line up. The Vulcan is still sold new despite the Rhinofire being out.
