So I've found some spring upgrades on Ebay that claim to be 7KG and compatible with Roughcuts. Someone has told me though that roughcut gears tend to strip under heavier springs though. Would that happen with these springs?

Every roughcut I gave ever seen modded with a stronger spring ended up broken in fairly short order. Aside from adding stubs of 17/32 brass at the base of the barrels to retain the darts better, there is little to be done for performance.

Simple answer... Not much...

I've tried the BSUK roughcut springs and gears which I struggled to get to prime reliably, though it was awesome when it did work.

I've also tried the Jasso Sazzo springs from ebay, which Welsh Mullet has had success with. In one roughcut, it destroyed it... In the other roughtcut, only the right hand side would prime.

If you want to add a bit of power, open up the front AR system. The top two barrles on each side should have two small air rleease holes that can be plugged up to get a boost.

There's also a hole or two on the rear of the AR unit that can be plugged too with a bit of hot glue/filler. If you're taking the AR unit out and taping the top two barrels, you may as well do this bit too.

Other than this, and filing down the shorter of the two spring catches to make the two stage trigger fire more obvious, and brassing the barrels, there's not much more that can be done. It's never going to be a massive FPS blaster, but that doesn't matter when it's such a fun blaster to use!

You can make hole between the air channels behind the smart ARs to allow more than one row fire at once, just don't mess with the smart ARs unless you want a blaster that farts out 4/8 darts, only if all 8 tubes are loaded.  I've got blaster parts 5kg in (stock ones removed) and the mech seems happy.. But then I bought them before finding out about the gear issues this can cause and have a complete spare mech to replace it if it all ends in tears.

@Treezy I didn't realise there were more airholes other than the barrel ones.  Are they inside the piece or on the external?
