Hello everyone,

Rather than lurking, I thought I would say hello.

I am based in the North East of England (Sunderland area). Not very far at all from either Newcastle and Durham city.

I studied at Teesside Uni and during my time there I flung much foam at my fellow Nerf Soc players. It was immense fun and a fantastic hobby (it keeps you fit that is for sure too Smile ).
We played in a indoors hall, so the Vortex blasters were a very good option.

My favoured blasters were either a Revonix360 with an old Raider stock (colours did not match) and a modified Raider / Ramage with some sort of basic 'Plastic' sight plus an of course OMW kit for the extra range.

If I get the chance I would like to attend a GuN events, but it is a fair drive from here in sunny Sunderland to the Leeds area.

Hi all, brand new to Nerf modding, just purchased my first system, modulus tri-strike. Starting small by looking at changing the stock spring and maybe a custom paint job. Looking forward to tinkering with different Nerf guns.

Hey all,

Come Christmas time I didn't want for much until I saw and fell in love with the Rough Cut. Since then I fell down the Nerf rabbit-hole and in my impatience I got myself a couple of Strongarms and a second hand Stryfe.

Currently working on accessorising my Stryfe, got the Modulus Stealth kit and need to find a nice stock and then some 18 mags, as 6 just doesn't cut it! Hoping to do a full motor/battery replace once my budget allows.

Haven't seen any events down in my area yet but looking forward to getting to one in the new year!

Hi Kleggt
Welcome to BritNerf
Whereabouts in Kent are you? There's a war in London which hopefully will become a bit more regular and I'm also thinking about starting my own one at some point this year if I can find the time to get it going.
There's also a mod party at the end of January in Bexley.

I'm down in Thanet, so London would be pretty do-able. I'll have to keep an eye out for that, or if anything closer pops up!

Hi All,

Over-grown kid (29) in Essex looking to get into nerfing.

The missus got me a star wars Bowcaster over Xmas which promptly turned me into an 8 year old. Also picked up a stryfe and strong-arm in the Xmas sales after she completely kicked my a** with a rebelle bow thingy. Because more is clear more in the firepower stakes.

Since then I have been soundly owned by my nieces and nephew and loved every minute of it so figured I'd see what's going on in the wider scene!

Thanks.

Hello, I'm Dilanski

Used to be Nerf mad back in 2011, well as Nerf mad as a 16 year old could be. But now I am older, if not any wiser. I'm wanting to get back into the hobby, and start going to events and the like. Based in Stoke/Winsford, so some lurking suggests the ZHOM games might be a start for me.

Other than that I'm working on a Longshot, simply because it is what I was using back in 2011, and I still love that blaster to bits.

Welcome!  I split my time between Stafford and Telford so I'll be looking into the possibility of a Midlands war some time this year

Hi there!
You are very welcome to turn up to a zhom game.
2011 I must say has limited parts in comparision to today, but there's no school like the old school!
As a game organiser I can help you along if you want to start wars and I'm sure there are many others of us that will too.

That is awesome. Am I right to think the next event is the 4th of March? I did look on the calendar, but nothing is penned in.

And yeah, it's almost like a paradigm shift has happened. In the past I was modding to try and achieve performance that blasters have out of the box now. Also flywheels appear to have taken over and stole everyones lunch money. Haven't used a soldering iron since secondary, but now may be the time to re-learn those skills. Probably should put together a shopping list given that the Nerf communities understanding of electronics has improved since, well since I thought that this:

Spoiler:

Was a good idea. LiPo's and all the trimmings it is then. Might mod that Rayven back to working health, as bullpups <3

Hi There,

I've been lurking for a bit but thought I may as well take the plunge and register.

I'm based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.

I currently work full time but run a fairly successful sideline reselling stuff on ebay & Amazon which includes A LOT of Nerf items.  Having a house full of Nerf bits and bobs plus 3 kids and lots of other kids in the family has meant lots and lots and lots of Nerf wars in our house which has also pushed me into looking to start up yet another sideline offering Nerf birthday parties in my area, early days yet but i'm nothing if not optimistic.

Anyway, it's a pleasant surprise to see there are a few events held fairly local to me so if time allows i'll have to try and get myself and the kids to one or two.

Greetings everyone!

Joined Britnerf a few years back but stayed a lurker. Decided to come out into the fray in hopes of getting more games in!

Currently I am a PhD student, so in a limbo between "researcher" and student. My main focus is 3d printing so I got a few resources at my disposal, so long the technicians don't ask too many questions.

I'm part of the Nerf Society at the University of Nottingham, and hope to join the committee next (academic) year to see if it can get more involved with Britnerf events.

I use to duel wield hammershots, until I found reloading with 2 blasters in my hand a pain. Moved on to a retaliator, with a hammershot as a secondary. Currently, I am working on a modded stryfe which I hopefully will get some nice pictures of; waiting on a red artifact flywheel cage.

Hey!

Hows it going? My name is Zach, im down in the South East of England in Kent and fed up of having a collection of Nerf blasters and no-one to talk about/show them too. have done a few basic mods and paint jobs, but am ideally looking for tips and how to's on modifying motors/batteries on stryfe blasters (plenty of youtube tutorials I know) but to be able to pick someones brain in real time is very handy!

Anyhow, look forward to learning from and contributing to the boards!

Peace!

Hey bud.

It's a shame, you just missed my mod party in Bexley. I'll be hosting another in a couple of months most likely. We'd love to see you there and you'll get the chance to learn first hand.

Welcome to the forum.

Hello all,

Recently had a strange urge to buy a Nerf gun after seeing an Adam Savage mod, so watched a few reviews before buying a Strongarm last weekend to see if they are fun.. been watching videos, reading forums and annoying the other half all week with the blaster!

Think I'll buy a Stryfe on Monday, then gradually start tweaking it! Just have to decide what to do to it! Loving the starter content on here. Bristol isn't too far away (I'm in Oxfordshire), so might try and make it over there for a blast in the future.

Thanks,
Fil

Hello all, I'm Sir Brass (or just Brass). And it has nothing to do with brass breaches or barrels. I've been knocking around the Internet with this handle for almost 2 decades.

I just got into nerfing after a long hiatus from paintball when I unexpectedly got a triad in my stocking this past Christmas. I now have a rapidstrike in the process of being overhauled, a powered up rampage (tactical range kit from the guys in Deutschland), O-Tac Hammershot, stock Roughcut & Sledgefire, and a dual bladed Stryfe. The wife has an adventure force enforcer, stock hammershot, and stock demolisher. And the triad I got for Christmas.

Welcome to the community buddy.

What are you up to this weekend? There are two events running in Bristol. A war on Saturday and a mod party/tech day/social on Sunday.

Hopefully we'll see you at one of those?
