Hi everyone, Just joined, im the parent of a Nerf mad child who has now started going to the local Foam Dart Thunder event.
Decided to look into what are the best guns for him to have for these events and what is involved in upgrading them for him.
SO far his arsenal of guns is:
The Hyperfire
Zombie Doominator
Stratobow
Demolisher
Modulous ECS10
Zombie Crossfire
Zombie Flipfury
And the Disruptor

So far his Hyperfire is by far the best gun he has, but reloading the 25 dart barrel for him to empty it in 10 seconds is a pain, especially in the heat of battle. So im pondering over getting him either the Stryfe or the Stockade as i thought they looked quite handy for his wars, good range, quick fir rate and quick to reload.
Can anybody recommend anything else ?

Hi welcome to the forum, for an event like FDT a front loading blaster would probably be the best option, something like a guardian crossbow (the paint job is directed at girls but they're a favourite of a few of the guys on here), mag fed blasters require a lot more gear to carry spare mags as with a front loader all you need is a dump pouch full of darts and can top up the blaster on the move.

Thanks for the advice Sparky2504

Hi Bigal123,
Yeah I take my lad along to the FDT at Zone74, i probably spoke to you on facebook yesterday then, you gave me the heads up for the tickets going on sale and asked me to share the event, my initials of my real name on facebook are DH.
Already got 2 tickets for my boy and his pal he wants to bring along for the first time and my nephew might be coming too

I was looking in the sale in Argos and i like the looks of the Stockade which is a front loader and also thinking of getting the Alpha Trooper as its on the 2 for 30 deal, my younger lad who is too young for the FDT will like one as well.

Welcome Timshill - that was me you spoke to on FB (Neil) - great to see an FDT parent on here - you've come to the right place for advice!

Hope you guys can make it on the 26th - I'll be joining in myself and bringing the FDT truck as well.

Look forward to catching up!

Entertainer has the fearless fire for 15, would be a much better option than the Stockade, has a higher capacity and better mod potential if you decide to go down that road in the future.

I doubt my son would be too amused if i brought him home a rebele gun lol..
I ordered the stockade earlier on already, i will run the rebele by him anyway and he can always give his wee brother the stockade if he wants it, but i doubt it

EDIT

Please try to keep quotes as short as possible, at least shorter than your reply. If everyone quoted the full post previous to theirs the forum would end up as a wall of repeated text. Thanks -SSGT

I run an awesome modded Fearless Fire so we'll let your son have a shot of that and I'm sure we'll change his mind about the Rebelle blasters  Very Happy  See you on 26th!

Hi all.

Been a lurker on this forum for some time now, I finally decided to join.

I have a few modded blasters that I have completed via youtube (mainly FDS guide's)

I am looking to attend a few wars soon and want to get into the hobby allot more.

There are some amazing blasters on here and I'm going to try and follow in a few footsteps.

Anyway. I'm Dean, I live in London and am 28 years old. Been into tinkering for a good few years now but want to take my modding to the next level.

Hi,

I'm Connie, who has broken my niece's Orbeez Nerf Gun water bead dispenser and desperately seeking a spare to replace the damaged piece.

Thanks in anticipation.
