Post Drum Mag holder  Reply with quote
I was a little bored and my saw was craving the taste of Nerf parts, so decided to make a holder for my 25 drum. Basically just a cut down Stryfe mag well, with my usual devcon and paint atrocities applied. Just need to fix some straps to the back to fit it on my tac gear and it's good to go.

Mag release is a little on the sloppy side so will probably revisit. If it performs well in my next war then I will probably make another or two, need to get my hands on more drums though!

That's awesome... I remember seeing a really clever solution on a Brisbane loadout video where they used a simple snap release bag strap, glued to the side of the drum, with the other half on a belt- really clever that. But yours is nerfier and orkier.

Thanks guys! I figured I could either start with one drum in blaster and have somewhere to store it once empty, or run two drums and swap them as needed.

Currently doing my Roughcut in the same paint job, and then I'm going to see what other odd gear pieces I can stick together.

I must admit, looks like something straight out of the crazy world of Warhammer. Anyone else? absolutely brilliant job though, very clean. Smile

I love the concept, the execution and the final look. Very Happy The only feedback I would suggest is to make it open topped so you can top off your darts as you go.

@Starfalcon - Yep, is definitely 40k inspired, Orks (and Orcs) have been pervasive throughout my life on and off for at least a decade and a half so it was pretty natural to bring that theme into my Nerfing.

@Boff - That's a pretty good idea, debated what to do with the top because it's kinda plain, never thought of keeping a hole there! Will have to play around with the concept once I get more shells and material to play with.

It's making me think of using the clip-on mag holder off my unused raider in a similar fashion.
